It seems interesting to me that Harmonix would pick such an obscure band to base a sequel to their popular Rock Band Series on... In all seriousness this game is truly a love letter to fans of the game series who also enjoy the Beatles. Last Saturday, my wife and I had several friends over with the intent of playing a few songs. We ended the night after jamming through over 40 songs in the band's exhaustive set list. Several updates have been made to the RB formula and in particular the addition of 3 part harmonies was a great idea. Especially because it doesn't hurt the band if the other singers can't keep up with their parts. I, for one, had to sing falsetto almost every time I touched the mic. One of their earliest songs, Boys, was the only unusual choice. I find it odd that a boy band of sorts (at the time at least) would be singing about other boys. But then again they are so supple and I am sure the average pop artist would have a hard time passing up a huge serving of boys. All in all it was a great time and I could see us pulling the plastic instruments back out sometime in the near future. Though I did end up with a sore throat the next morning... nothing to do with boys of course. I deem this game 3 out of 4 Ringos.

I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS! Beatles: Rock Band
